How do you feel about the way words our community uses ("kin" in particular) have been co-opted into common online vernacular and made into memes/jokes, with their original weight entirely stripped away from them? I personally can't help but be made a little uncomfortable by it- it feels as if I cannot use these words for their intended purpose anymore because people will assume I'm joking. But at the same time, I understand that language inevitably evolves. What do you all think?
